Midwest Custom Furniture specializes in Refinishing and restoring antique furniture back to its original spendor. Restoration is not always a perfect science; however, we try to come close to the original intent of the maker, when possible. We often find ourselves having to "bring a piece back from the dead". Our ultimate goal can vary radically from project to project. There are many variables: the clients' desires, budget, the limitations of the pieces, the relative scale of cost of restoration compared to market value. When pieces leave our shop, they are restored to the best possible condition in regard to structure and finish. Nothing leaves our shop looking 'brand new' but if it is made of wood, we will restore it and we will fix it. We also custom design and build furniture. Midwest Custom Furniture is standing by to transform forgotten finds from the attic into heirlooms that will "live and breathe" in living rooms for generations to come.
